The MUSIAD Sydney Iftar event was a remarkable gathering of esteemed individuals,

honoured guests. Coming together in the spirit of Ramadan, attendees shared the
traditional iftar meal, fostering a sense of unity and solidarity that defines the holy month.

memorable. Your presence enriched the event, reflecting the strength of our community
and our shared commitment to support one another.
The event saw the gracious presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Consulate
General of Turkiye, Mr. Ali Sevim; Turkiye Educational Attaché, Mr. Cem Gencoglu;
Turkiye Commercial Attaché, Mr. Yavuz Gokcayir; Turkiye Religious Attaché, Mr. Ozcan
Gokcebay; Saudi Arabia Commercial Attaché, Mr. Atif Alothri; Consulate General of

During the event, Hakan Evecek, the President of MUSIAD Sydney, delivered a powerful
speech about strengthening our members’ businesses and supporting each other. He also
condemned the Israeli genocide against the Palestinian people, highlighting the urgent
need for global solidarity and action to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
His remarks underscored the importance of standing up against injustice and advocating
for peace and justice in the region.
During the event, Danny Mikati, the CEO of Ausrelief, delivered a stirring speech about the
great work that they are doing, highlighting the aid they are delivering to the
earthquake-affected areas in Turkiye and the aid they are providing to Gaza under siege.
His words underscored the importance of humanitarian efforts in times of crisis and the
impact of collective action in making a difference.
We were also honoured to hear from MUSIAD Sydney Women President, Ceylan Ada,
who spoke passionately about the role of women in leadership. Her inspiring words
emphasised the importance of empowering women to take on leadership roles and
contribute to the advancement of our community.
Additionally, Aydin Ozturk, YOUNG MUSIAD Sydney President, delivered a compelling
speech about building young leaders and their influence on our community. He stressed
the importance of investing in the next generation and providing them with opportunities to
develop their skills and contribute to positive change.
The presence of these esteemed speakers added depth and insight to the event, further
highlighting the importance of community engagement and collaboration across diverse
sectors.
Generosity was at the forefront of the event, where attendees had the opportunity to
donate via Ausrelief to support our besieged brothers and sisters in Palestine.
